Join the National Hellenic Museum Book club to discuss excerpts from The Iliad, The Acharinians, and Trojan Women.

The Classics Book Club at NHM, led by Dan Perkey, will be a discussion of classic Greek works of literature for all levels

Price: $10 for non-members, $5 for students, NHM members are FREE

Reading List:

Aristophanes The Acharnians trans. Paul Roche, Berkley Press
Euripides Trojan Women trans. Richard Lattimore, Univ. of Chicago Press
**Books may be purchased independently or through the Museum Store.

Please come to the book club having read the following excerpts from the books:

June 11- Iliad Books 1,6, 23 (The “chapters” in the Iliad are called books )
pp. 77-98, 195-213, 559-587 in the edition listed above
July 9- Aristophanes Acharnians (entire play should be read)
August 13- Euripides Trojan Women (entire play should be read)
