One of the most well-known and best managers in baseball, Tommy Lasorda was involved with the Los Angeles Dodgers for over 50 years, managing the team from 1976-1996. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997 after a career that included winning 1,599 games, two World Series, and two National League pennants. Sixteen years ago, he came out of retirement to manage the United States Olympic Baseball Team to a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney Australia.
